A story behind

"The arrival of Carnival in Sainte Anne de Guadeloupe coincided with the government's decision to increase electricity bills and constant eletric outages from the energy plant as a reaction.
I percieved it as a sort of fusion of a parade and a recurring form of protest. The synchronized use of palms, intricate body painting, and homemade decorations created an immediate visual impression of a unified and distinctive 'mobile' pattern. This community moved in unison, singing, chanting, and generating vibrant sounds using whatever they could gather
in their hands.

I hadn't anticipated the parade passing by my temporary island residence, so I spontaneously joined the procession, capturing the moments with my camera."
